1. Club Licensing

  1. A Club participates through a Conditional League License and must continue to satisfy League requirements.
  2. Markets are earned, not inherited. Licenses are scarce, not automatic.

2. Club Identity

  1. Clubs are permanent institutions, not temporary game teams. Approved Club identities may include market, Club name, short code, crest, palette and uniform system.
  2. Brand approval does not create Sporting preference.

3. Athlete Employment

  1. Professional athletes should receive lawful professional compensation. Salary is not prize money and prize money is not a substitute for wages where employment law requires wages.
  2. Developmental status may not be used as a pretext for discounted professional labor.

4. Specialist Model

  1. Athletes ordinarily specialize in one active Championship Program per competitive period.
  2. Specialization changes occur through controlled windows to preserve competitive integrity and roster clarity.

5. Eligibility and Age

  1. Ordinary professional eligibility is planned at 18+, with a narrow exceptional transition case around 17 years 6 months subject to safeguarding, law and parental/guardian requirements.

6. Standard Player Contract

  1. UGL may prescribe a Standard Player Contract or minimum terms addressing compensation, term, release, discipline, creator/NIL rights, health/safety, dispute process and termination.
  2. Maximum contract and free-agency timing may be controlled through adopted schedules.

7. Draft and Combine

  1. The Combine is specialist-oriented. The Draft may use a founding-scale five-round, forty-selection model for eight Clubs when adopted for that season.
  2. Draft records are permanent sporting records and should not be manufactured from temporary page content.

8. Transactions and Free Agency

  1. Trades, signings, waivers, releases and other transactions require effective dates, authorization and public status appropriate to the transaction.
  2. No roster retaliation is permitted for protected reporting or legitimate grievance activity.

9. Player Council

  1. A Player Council shall provide structured athlete voice on rules, calendar, welfare, working conditions and other matters defined by charter.

10. Practice and Workload

  1. Practice happens at work. Home remains home. Clubs should plan compensated training, recovery, leave and ordinary life rather than rely on permanent overwork or hero culture.

11. Representation and World Eligibility

  1. International representation is distinct from national-team selection. Citizenship is the primary World eligibility principle unless an adopted rule provides otherwise.
