LEGAL / PRIVACY
PRIVACY POLICY
Draft for review before production launch
1. Scope
This policy describes how United Gaming League handles information collected through UGL.gg. It does not replace separate notices that may apply to athletes, employees, event participants, research subjects or other relationships.
2. Information you provide
When you use Contact & Inquiries, UGL may receive your name, email address, organization, inquiry category and message. UGL uses that information to route and respond to the request. The public contact form is designed to send the inquiry to UGL rather than create a public profile.
3. Website and analytics information
UGL.gg may process standard technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as IP address, browser information, request logs and security events. Optional analytics are configured separately. When Google Analytics is enabled, the site waits for analytics consent before loading it. UGL may instead use a privacy-oriented analytics service such as Plausible.
4. YouTube, Twitch and third-party services
UGL.gg/live may embed or link to YouTube and Twitch. Those providers may receive information when you interact with their services and may apply their own privacy and cookie practices. Ticketing, commerce, forms or other third-party services may be added later and should be disclosed when introduced.
5. How information is used
UGL may use information to operate UGL.gg, respond to inquiries, protect the site, understand aggregate usage, maintain League records where appropriate, comply with law and enforce applicable terms. Information submitted through a public inquiry form should not be repurposed for unrelated scouting, employment or research decisions without a separate lawful basis and appropriate notice.
6. Retention and sharing
UGL should retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, legal obligations, security or records requirements. Information may be handled by service providers supporting hosting, email, analytics, media delivery or security. UGL does not treat the public contact form as a data-broker product.
7. Children
UGL.gg is a general-audience professional League website and is not designed to solicit personal information from children under 13 through the public contact form. Youth-specific programs or services should use separate safeguarding and consent processes where applicable.
8. Your choices and requests
You may decline optional analytics where the site offers that choice. Privacy questions or requests may be submitted through Contact & Inquiries using the Privacy / Legal category.
9. Security and changes
UGL uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the website environment, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated as UGL.gg adds services or legal requirements change.
